Hi, I'm Jan Michael
Helping people move, breathe, and rest with greater confidence and ease.
Many people come to yoga because they want to move with less discomfort, improve balance and confidence, navigate the challenges of aging, or find ways to work with stress and fatigue.
Whether you are living with chronic pain, osteoporosis, arthritis, balance concerns, or simply looking for greater ease in everyday life, you are welcome here.
I created Steady Steps® Yoga to help people discover practical ways to feel more comfortable, capable, and at home in their bodies.
My Journey
My path to yoga began during a stressful period in my life in 2008. What started as a way to manage stress gradually became a lifelong exploration of movement, breath, awareness, and well-being.
My experiences with balance challenges, osteoarthritis, and stress deepened my appreciation for the many ways yoga can support people through change, recovery, and the realities of everyday life.
These experiences deepened my appreciation for the many ways yoga can help us navigate pain, change, recovery, and the realities of aging. Over time, this curiosity led me to become a yoga teacher and eventually an IAYT-certified yoga therapist.
My Approach
My role is not to fix people.
My role is to help people explore movement, breath, and rest in ways that support their goals and their lives.
