Better Balance and Stability with Steady Steps™
Steady Steps™ is an empowering yoga program created to help individuals of all ages and abilities prevent falls by enhancing their balance and stability. Our small classes are tailored to meet the specific needs of each participant, enabling them to build strength and flexibility. Through the transformative practice of yoga, participants can learn to move with greater ease, boost their confidence, and significantly improve their balance, all contributing to effective fall prevention.
Our Zoom classes are led by a certified yoga instructor with 9 years of teaching experience, ensuring each participant receives personalized support.
Join us for our introductory Better Balance and Stability Yoga Workshops several times a month. These 1.5 hour workshops are a fantastic opportunity to improve balance and stability in a welcoming environment. The workshop schedule is listed below, allowing you to choose the best time. If you've never practiced yoga before, don't worry—we will meet you where you are.
If you want a more immersive experience, consider our periodic 6-week Better Balance and Stability Yoga Intensive. About Me
Hey, everyone!
I'm Jan Michael, and I’m excited to share my story with you. I want to tell you why I created Steady Steps™ and the inspiration behind this wonderful venture. I've faced challenges with balance throughout my life due to congenital deafness in my right ear. It hasn't always been easy, but I never let it hold me back. Instead, I found my strength and balance through yoga. I've been teaching yoga since 2015, after completing my 200-hour yoga teacher training. In 2023, I completed my 500 hr Yoga Wellness training. I specialize in teaching therapeutic Hatha and restorative yoga, focusing on making yoga accessible. Passionate about promoting health and mindfulness, I enjoy helping others relax, cultivate gratitude, and embrace the benefits of a regular yoga practice.
Steady Steps™ was born out of a deep desire to help others who face similar balance challenges. I wanted to create a safe space for individuals of all fitness levels to explore the joy of yoga and discover the transformative power it holds. Through my regular yoga practice, I have experienced first hand the incredible benefits it brings. Not only has my yoga practice improved my balance, strength, and coordination, but it has also allowed me to reach new levels of self-awareness and inner peace. Every day is different, but with dedication and commitment, I've seen myself grow and improve beyond what I could have imagined. With consistent practice, anyone can improve their balance.
